favorite characters!

Like I've said before, I love love love strong female characters because I feel that girls can be underestimated a lot and I love it when characters totally blow you away. So basically there will be a lot of girls.

Number 10: Marlee: Okay so Marlee was a character in The Selection, she's headstrong and perfect and I love her

Number 9: Christina: Christina was my favorite character from Divergent and I'm really hoping to see more of her in Allegiant

Number 8: Prim Everdeen: She's different from all the other character I love. She's so sweet and innocent and I died when she was killed

Number 7: Teresa: She was my favorite character from The Maze Runner trilogy and again a strong female character

Number 6: Luna Lovegood: I love how she's so airy fairy and not caring and I honestly wish I could be more like her

Number 5: Leo Valdez: I feel so bad for him but he's so funny and definitely my favorite one from the prophecy (except Percy and Annabeth of course)

Number 4: Hermione Granger: I love how all of J.K. Rowling's characters are super well-developed. I especially love Hermione since she's a real girl. She's not just the girl in glasses.

Number 3: Percy Jackson: he's hilarious and my favorite male protagonist ever!

Number 2: Ginny Weasley, she's exactly the kind of strong female character I love

Number 1 (!!!!!): It has to be Annabeth Chase from the PJ series. She's smart-alecky, beautiful and always herself. She's a character that is also definitely a role-model for readers and she's a fun-to-read protagonist.

Tell me your favorite character of all time below please!

The stupid things best friends do...

Haha so me and my best friend, Anna decided to write a recap of part of our day and the hilarious part is that Anna just randomly started writing something in class and emailed it to me later that day and I wrote back and well...just read it! And sorry this is totally random and stupid but I hadn't posted in a while and I really wanted to share this because I just thought that this was really amusing for some reason. The words in red were not included in the writing originally but I put them in to make a few things clearer, also my real name isn't Lily as all of you know so I changed that from the original but yeah...tell me what you think of this random thing me and my best friend did. (Sorry for saying random so many times).

Flustered
-Anna

I was walking down the crowded hall to my locker, trying to convince Fumi that Harry Potter and Magyk were different.

“But they are, Lily! In Magyk, you can’t be born a wizard.”

“But he’s still a wizard.”

“So? You’re turning into Natalie!”

“You’re a wizard, Septimus!”

“Aaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh!”

I stormed away to my locker.

Spinning the combination, I asked Ella, “Is the Social Studies quiz hard?”

“No,” she answered. “Its really easy.”

“ ‘Kay, good.” I started pulling books out of my locker. “Do you know what we’re doing in math?”

“Nope,” She said.

“That really helps,” I grumbled.

“You’re welcome.”

I sighed as I stood up with my books in my hands. “See ya.”

“See ya,” Ella replied without even looking up.

I threaded my way through throngs of people to math class. About halfway there, after dodging a recycling bin, several people, and an uncountable amount of paper airplanes, I spotted Lily by her locker.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Is the Social Studies quiz hard?”

Our earlier bickering might as well be forgotten.

“I don’t know, but Ella said it was easy.”

“Okay!” Lily hurried into the Social Studies room.

I continued on my way.... Or at least tried to, at least. Next I ran into Natalie.

“It is different, you know!” I called after her as she walked past me down the hall.

“What?” She called after me, momentarily confused. “Oh!” She realized what I was talking about. “No, they copied Harry Potter!”

“It is too different!” I practically squealed at her.

“You’re a wizard, Septimus!” She disappeared around the corner.

Argh! How likely was it that two of my best friends say the same line to me in a matter of twenty or so minutes without them even knowing about it? Or maybe they did know about it? Maybe they had this conversation? Or maybe they didn’t? Oh, I don’t know. Too many maybes.

I ducked into math class and called across the room, “Amelie! Amelie Amelie Amelie Amelie!”

“Yyyyyyyeeeeeesssss?” She called back, drawing the word out.

“Isn’t Magyk, like, WAY different than Harry Potter?”

“Yeah.” She nodded and started walking toward my desk as I slammed my books down.

“YEAH, ‘cause in Magyk you aren’t born a wizard, but you can be born with Magykal powers, RIGHT?” I demanded all in one breath.

“Yeah,” she replied almost cautiously, probably noticing how flustered I was.

“Then tell Natalie and Fumi that!” I burst out.

“ ‘Kay, then.” Amelie started jogging towards the door - and suddenly stopped. “Wait, where are they?”

“I don’t know!” I yelled, throwing my hands up in frustration.

Just then, Mr. G walked into the room, shut the door, and said, “Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Time to get started. Hopefully you all have started the warm up?”
I hadn’t.

“Just, um, go some other time,” I told Amelie.

Amelie shrugged. But I knew I would get her to tell them that - and next time not at the beginning of math class, either.

Flustered (Well I Wasn’t Really...) 2
-Lily

I was walking down the hall to my locker with Anna arguing that Magyk just copied after Harry Potter even though I knew it didn’t. I was just saying that to annoy her- haha. We always walk back to our lockers together after lunch.

“But they are, Lily! In Magyk, you can’t be born a wizard.” Anna argues.

“But he’s still a wizard.” I said almost laughing.

“So? You’re turning into Natalie!”

“Oh well thats not a good thing... You’re a wizard, Septimus!”

“Aaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh! But it is different!” And with that Anna stormed off to her locker.

I open my locker, taking out my books for my next three classes: Social Studies, Science, and Literacy and getting out a stick of gum as always. I unwrap it and pop it into my mouth.
“CRAP!” I shout.
“What did you forget your reading log?” Asks a boy in my primetime (homeroom) named Tommy who was also at his locker.
“What? No I’m not in your Literacy... We...don’t....have....reading logs... I meant the Social Studies quiz, but whatever.”
Argh darn it, did I seriously have so much homework last night that I forgot to even study? Well....it could be the fact that I was trying to finish my book, Gone and was reading until 6:00 until I realized how long I was reading... Whatever. Social Studies is my strong subject. I’ll be fine.
I was turning away from my locker and heading to Social Studies when I spotted Anna halfway down the hall.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Is the Social Studies quiz hard?”
“Well, I don’t know! Ella said it was easy.”
“Okay!” I replied and she turned into the other hallway as I saw Ella down the hall.
“Ella, was the Social Studies quiz hard?” I ask her knowing she’ll say its super easy because of my conversation with Anna.
“No it was SUPER easy!”
“Okay thanks!” I replied as I turned to go into Social Studies.
“Oh and its The Treaty of Paris 1783 not 1683.”
“Uh huh thanks.” I walked into Social Studies right in front of Natalie. I sat down at my usual spot as Natalie kept standing looking around for a spot since someone was sitting at her usual seat.
I sat down and turned to Riley who was sitting in the next table over. She was studying and looked kind of flustered so I didn’t say anything to her.
“Oh it might be a good idea to get out a pencil...” I grumbled searching around in my pencil bag for one. Wonderful. I have only 5 left. And 3 of those 5 have no lead in them. I really need to bring my lead from home...
“So who wants to hand it out?” Mr. Baum-whatshisface (sorry inside joke) asks and I immediately raise my hand even though I had no idea what he was talking about. He handed me one of the two stacks of tests.
“Each of you start passing out at different sides of the room.” He told me and the other boy passing the tests out in a voice that could only be described as tiredly and lazily. I passed them all out and sat down and started. I buzzed through it and finished before everyone else, but I kept sitting until one person got up and handed it in and then I stood up and put it up on the overhead as well. I went to my locker and got my math homework for tonight and did some of the problems. Why the heck do we need Algebra? Its pointless. After I got through a few hard problems Mr. Baum-whatshisface had some people hand out some quizzes for us to grade and I got one and graded it (I was surprised because I got the boy who finished first’s and he had like 3 wrong). I handed it back to him and someone handed mine back to me. Yay I only got one wrong.
I walked to Science in a good mood. I’m an overly talkative, loud, obnoxious person so I have no idea what I said as I walked into Science but I’m pretty sure I was grumbling about my stupid seat. I put my stuff down on my table and looked over at Anna who was sitting a few seats away. She was writing on a piece of paper.
“What are you writing?” I asked walking over to her and trying to see the paper.
“I’m not done yet!” She said moved it away where I couldn’t see it. I walked over behind her as she started writing again and I probably could have read it over her shoulder if A) I actually really wanted to after Anna told me not to and B) if my vision was a lot better. I’m actually supposed to wear glasses full time but I don’t because... I don’t know I just don’t want to. I always get a comment from Natalie like
“You look like...not Lily when you wear those. Like weird...”
“Well thanks.” I’d reply and she would go,
“No offense!” Yeah, a little late.

~Later that day on the bus...~

“Audrey!” I called to her who was sitting a few seats away from me. She turned her head towards me and looked at me like,
“What? I want to get back to my book now.”
“So in Science, Anna was writing this ‘mysterious paper’ and she wouldn’t tell me what she was writing and I really wanted to know so at the end of Science she said that she would type it up and send it to me. And I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT SAID?” I looked at her trying to get some sort of reaction from her.
She just half-smiled at me like,
“Thats GREEEAAATTT for you.” And then I, who was getting tired of the day now, turned to my phone, put my earplugs in and blared my favorite song.

The Wonderful World of Relaxation

School. You know everyone loves it! No one gets stressed by it whatsoever!  Truth be told almost everyone "strongly dislikes" it and everyone gets stressed by it, well you know unless your like in the fifth grade. So when I get home I would love to tell you all that I finish all my homework and then go do something productive but typically I put it off, relax, leave my homework for later, then hate my self at about midnight. Anyways here's what I do to...chill.

Steps
1. Gather all needed supplies including a good book, fuzzy socks, your phone and possibly earplugs.
2. Climb into bed.
3. Read, watch a youtube video, go on instagram, blog, read blogs, etc.
4. Fall asleep.
5. Wake up.
6. Eat a snack ( or if you took an extra long power nap eat dinner )
7. Watch TV
8. Take a shower.

(And the below is what happens after I finish "chilling".)

9. Realize you have homework
10. Procrastinate
11. Do homework
12. Fall asleep
13. Wake up feeling exhausted
14. Go to school
15. Repeat

Yeah actually that was more like my daily schedule...Well anyways sorry this is such a stupid, random post haha but I really wanted to post something tonight! XOXO Lily.

Quickie Post: A question for you all

I've been searching the web for a really good book that I can really just curl up with and read over and over again and not get tired of. Lately there's so much stress in my life that I would just love to be able to curl up in my bed with my fuzzy socks and a good book. And yesterday I started reading the Narnia series and I was like "How have I missed these books all these years?!?" I just finished the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and I started the next one I'm kind of confused but my love for the Narnia books is growing rapidly. So basically what are your favorite books that are total must-reads? XOXO Lily
