Wonderful... just greeeaaaat
I lost my notebooks and my flute (yeah i do play flute). I know it sounds stupid like "How could you lose a flute!" But I did and that just shows that I really am the master at losing things. I know this is a pointless post but you only live once, ya know.

Thanksgiving :)
So here's what happened on my second favorite holiday (Christmas is my favorite but after writing this I'm suddenly thinking that Thanksgiving might be my favorite now...). We had a big party and I think there were around 13 adults and 9 kids, they were all younger than me but one of my best friends came also. It was a bunch of fun even though me and my best friend ended up babysitting most of them. I live right next to an elementary school, which is kind of annoying sometimes, so we all went to the school playground and we all ran around and played and stuff and after, we played some Wii, which was quite fun actually even though that might seem really lame plus it got everybody entertained, and finally after all that we sat down and stuffed our faces into our Thanksgiving feast. Oh, and after that we watched a movie and played cards.
You know those friends that seem like your little brothers and sisters? Hopefully you know what I'm talking about but these two kids who came are like the little brother and little sister I never had. The boy is just a year younger than me and the girl is just starting 2nd grade, she's super adorable. Anyway my point is that yesterday was awesome and that it was even more amazing because it felt more like a family reunion and not a party. Hope you all had a very happy Turkey Day!

OMG I am freaking out right now!
Okay so I know its not that big of a deal... okay it might be... but Heather Vogel Frederick just briefly mentioned me on her blog!!!!! Oh my god I'm acting like a fifth grader, you know how they freak out at every little thing? Anywho not the point, *squeal* but I very happy and hyper right now and yeah... nothing more to say really but the proof is all here. Sorry if I sound like I'm bragging I just felt like I was going to burst so I had to say something.
Congrats and Inspirational Girl
Congrats to one of my favorite authors of all time, Heather Vogel Frederick, for her new book, Wish You Were Eyre to get featured in a blog called Kiss The Book and getting rated Essential which is the highest rating you can get in that blog.
Also I just wanted to mention this very inspirational and amazing youtuber named Talia Joy (username: TaliaJoy18) who is a 13 year old with nueroblastoma and pre-leukemia (two times of severe cancer) but is a bright and very good makeup artist and she is just so amazing and talented and positive of what she is going through and she has even been on The Ellen Show. Recently doctors have given her a choice, to get a surgery that she is unlikely to survive but is the only thing that will save her or live out the rest of her life (estimated up to one year). She chose to live out the rest of her life as long as she can and she is definitely in my prayers. Hopefully doctors will find a cure for her! Please check her out she is an incredible 13 year old girl who doesn't deserve what she is going through. Her slogan is that "Makeup is her wig" because as you can see in the pictures below she doesn't like wigs and she doesn't wear them so she says (and she explains this in one of the "Talia's Story" videos) that makeup is her wig because she says that when she's wearing makeup she feels she can embrace the features that she loves about herself and when people look at her she feels that they are looking at her makeup not her head.

Just for Fun
First of all I am very very sorry but I will be skipping the Favorites post today because I just do not have time tonight. Second I will be doing a just for fun sort or writing contest. I guess you could call it a contest. The point would be to write a very quick 5-10 sentence (very) short story about anything you want. But it has a catch! I found this on the NanoWrimo homepage and I thought it was really fun so whats going to happen is that you will choose one of the "writing dares" to use in your short story. Here they are.
1. Have the problem in your story be that the character got very embarrassed by someone she/he thought was his/her friend
2. Include a singing competition
3. Have a non-important character say the most memorable quote you can think of
4. Have a character reveal a terrifying secret
5. Have your main character go to a party she/he hates
These are all off or based off the one on the NanoWrimo page.

Pen Name
Okay so I'm not sure if all of you know this but Lily's not my real name, its my pen name like July's, Seana's and Hermione's. And lately a couple people have been emailing me, via lilykbartlett@gmail.com, asking whats my real name. First of all, I'm not just going to tell you my real name just like that. If my name was Claire or Natalie or something pretty common I probably would have blogged with my real name but my name's pretty... unusual unique so yeah. And second of all my real name is not that hard to figure out. I mean I tweet with my real name and I think I followed some of you. So for those of you asking please do not waste your time emailing me because I won't just tell you.
XOXO, Lily

So we went to beautiful Sedona, Arizona which is very close to Flagstaff, via picture, and I'm really sorry I didn't upload them until now but I had a few other videos and pictures for my other blog, The Pen and the Paintbrush which me and Hermione both share, so that's why. I hope you enjoy these pictures and have a wonderful night.
Poll Results and Little Things
First off, sorry I haven't posted in a while but you now with Hurricane Sandy and the power going out and school's being closed and school's being opened again and then extra school work and everything. Okay so a while ago I put up a poll to see if you all would want to participate in either
1) Chat room
2) Sentence Story
3) Virtual Book Club
4) Party
So in fourth place with an amazing total of zero votes is..... Party!(Didn't really know how I was really going to do that anyways...)
And tied for second place with one vote is the Sentence Story and Chat Room and that leaves the Virtual Book Club with three votes. Unfortunately not that many people voted but that's okay so if you would like to participate in a virtual book club please comment below.
I've gotten a lot of questions on how this would work so I'll quickly explain it. So what would happen is that I will set up a google document which is basically a page, I guess, which anyone can edit/type on and it's pretty much like a chat room. Then we would all choose a book and we would read it (obviously) and then after we would just talk about it and do other fun stuff.
You will be able to access the google document here.
