I was on Instagram and my friend posted this and I was like "Summer, come to MEE!" I was particularly missing summer today so I got some pictures from summer camp and the thing my friend posted (up there) for a random post about summer. And if you have tagged me for an award *cough cough Seana cough cough* I'm getting to it so sorry for the wait! And if you are wondering I go to overnight camp at Frost Valley YMCA Summer Camp in the Catskill Mountains in New York (and by the way I don't live in NY I'm a country girl and my house was like 6 hours away :P).

The Little Things Tag
Okay, first of all I want to say sorry for posting so many tags in a row lately but I feel this tag is really nice and has a really great message behind it and its related to One Direction so you have to love it ha ha. And there are no written rules for this tag but basically you just answer the questions and tag people.
♥ QUESTIONS FOR THE TAG!
1. One thing that makes you feel beautiful: when my hair is wavy. I don't know why but I have stick straight hair and when I curl it or sleep in braids I feel happy and I don't know pretty I guess.
2. What's something that people often compliment you on: My hair. Okay so like I said in the last question I have super straight hair so when I just leave it down (I have no idea but all the girls at my school love straight hair) people say it looks nice. :P
3. What's one of your insecurities: My eyes. One of my friends told me that my eyes where slightly different sizes and I never noticed it before but now I'm more self-conscious about it, but you know.
4. If you could tell every insecure person in the world one thing, what would you say: That your beautiful because we are all beautiful.
5. Do you talk in your sleep: Ha ha I don't think so
6. Little Things you appreciate about life: the seasons, life itself, birds chirping, a good book, waking up in the morning with the sun shining on you.
7. Favorite little things about someone you love: Well I love my friends so I love how they will be there for me and cheer me up when I'm down.
8. Something someone said to you to make you self conscious: Same as number 3. I sorta wish she never told me because I never noticed it myself before.
9. If you could change one thing about yourself, would you: I feel like I changed my appearance I wouldn't be me anymore and I am also very blessed so no I wouldn't.
10. What's one thing about yourself that you would never change: I don't know if this means appearance but something I would never ever change about myself is how much I love life and how I try to be optimistic about everything in life.

Okay onto the questions.
The Questions:
1. The job you want to have: That's easy. An author. My dream is to be a published author and it always has been. I remember in 1st grade I wrote my first picture book. The Cat, Bat and Hat. You all should really read it.
2. Favourite Singer/Band: Okay so I know this person isn't the most liked person in the world but I still really like Taylor Swift (okay what she did at the Grammy's was totally horrible but I'm still a Swifty). And also, of course, I'm a directioner as well. I love Niall!
3. Favourite Choc or Sweet: I don't have a sweet tooth so I don't generally love candy (I know I am so strange) but my favorite would have to be raspberry filled truffles. I love those little things.

Reader's Apprectiation Award!
Thank you so so much to Hilda who has nominated me for this award and sorry it took a couple days I've been too busy the last couple days to do a blog post but I finally have time so yay!
The rules are...
1. Link back to the person who nominated you
2. Attach the icon to your site
3: Answer the attached questions
4: Nominate six bloggers who you feel deserve this award and notify them about their nominations
Now onto the questions
1: What is your favorite color?
Pink. I'm such a girly girl and I just think that something bubblegum pink is super cheerful and pretty.
2: What is your favorite animal?
Elephants because they have big ears... yeah
3: What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
Tea. I don't know why but I just love hot tea in the winter and cold tea for the summer. I don't know why but I just love it so so much.
4: What is your favorite number?
I've never really had a favorite number so I'm not going to randomly make up one and say its my favorite.
5: What is your favorite day of the week?
Sundays. Because I have stupid language school on Saturday (where I get to do even more work which is just a joy) and Sunday I can relax all day.
6: What is your favorite flower?
Okay this is pretty lame but... lilies (and for those of you that didn't get that I mean like my name is Lily... you get it okay) I just think they're a really cheerful flower and they're very springy and yeah.
7: What is your passion?
Um... eating, reading, sleeping, eating, writing, sleeping, eating, dancing and sleeping.
8: Do you watch television?
I watch TV almost every chance I get, lets put it at that. But most of the time I 'm so busy I only get to watch a half hour or so a day.
9: Who is your favorite author?
I have two. JK Rowling, obviously, and Wendy Mass. I think they can both paint such an amazing picture in your head and its incredible. I someday hope to be as talented of a writer as they are. And if you haven't, you have to read my favorite book by Wendy Mass, Every Soul A Star! (Every time I read a new book of Wendy Mass I declare it my all time favorite. Every Soul A Star is the most recent Mass book I read ha ha)
10: Do you like 80′s movies?
Not really, I can't think of an 80s movie I've ever seen off the top of my head.
11: How do you like your eggs?
I don't really mind but I love scrambled eggs with a little bit of sugar on them. Yum!
12: When did you discover blogging?
Oh gosh. I discovered blogging, actually about three years ago when I was younger and just wanted a website/blog because it seemed fun but then I got too lazy to continue (actually well I did start it back up and occasionally write there but...) and I deleted that and last year on my birthday I started this blog. On April 28th 2012 and looking back at that first post I'm so embarrassed. Its like two sentences long and that's how most of my older posts look. Ha ha
13: Why do you like to blog?
Because it is fun and I love the feeling that people are actually reading my thoughts and whatnot. Also I'm so surprised that I actually made friends during this process. I mean I thought when I was starting out that I would just get people reading my stuff and just leaving comments like "Nice post" or "Where did you take that photo" or something like that. Blogging has been an amazing experience for me.

Book Talk!
So first off I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging AT ALL lately. School is getting more annoying, I mean more academically challenging. Well, not really just the teachers are giving out more homework than ever and the classes seem to be never ending. And second off the answers for my "Imagination" post will be posted shortly just I'm hoping more people will try and guess.. Anyways I've decided to talk to y'all about a book I actually read for school. In English class we read this book called Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry which I thought was going to really boring but it was really not. I had skimmed through it a year or so ago and I hadn't really liked it but this year I suddenly really enjoyed it, so I guess you never know! It was about the Great Depression and racism and a nine year old African American girl named Cassie. Its such an intricate and neatly-woven story that I can't really sum it up in a couple sentences but basically its about this girl named Cassie (as I already said) and she lives in Minnesota with her grandma, Mama, Papa and three brothers. They're the richest African American family around as they have land but they have trouble paying it off as the whites really do not want African Americans to own land.
It really is an amazing book and I do hope that you read it or if you have read it, that you've enjoyed it!
